Director and Coach Greg
Greg Steward is the Director of ZSA Volleyball and has been coaching athletes at the highest developmental levels since 2011, beginning his career in Englewood, New Jersey.
He brings over a decade of elite coaching experience, combining competitive excellence with a strong focus on character, discipline, and leadership development.
In 2019, Greg took over the St. Peter’s Prep volleyball program and quickly found success, winning the 2019 Hudson County Championship and leading the team to the State Sectional Finals.
After being forced to take the following season off due to COVID, Coach Greg and St. Peter’s Prep returned in 2021 to capture a repeat Hudson County Championship and win the 2021 State Sectional Title.
These achievements cemented the program’s place among New Jersey’s top volleyball programs.
In 2025, Greg was appointed Director of ZSA Volleyball, where he now leads the club’s vision, training systems, and athlete development pathways.
As a player, Greg competed at the high school and collegiate levels and participated extensively on the USA Volleyball circuit.
His playing career included national competition throughout the United States as well as international events in Puerto Rico and Canada.
These experiences continue to shape his modern coaching philosophy and player-first approach.
Today, Greg is widely recognized for building winning cultures, developing complete athletes, and preparing players for success both on and off the court.
Greg is IMPACT & SafeSport Certified, Heat Acclimatization and CPR AED Certified.
